Bargaining Update 5/22

The CWA Bargaining Team and Chief of Staff Sylvia J. Ramos met with the Company on May 22, 2025. The Union bargaining teams presented proposals and/or counterproposals during these meetings on the following articles:
- Article 11 - Holidays
- Article 12 - Vacation
- Article 13 - Compensation
- Article 14 - Leaves of Absence
- Article 24 - General and Miscellaneous
CWA continues to stress the importance of gaining improvements in the area of Vacations and Holidays for our members. We have made it perfectly clear that increases in our current wage scales are critical.
The Union and the Company conducted a series of discussions concerning the various wage scales applicable at different stations. We also had a discussion regarding the definition of station groupings on the various scales to see if any updates were necessary. These meetings were characterized by thorough analysis and constructive dialogue, aimed at reconciling the wage proposals from both parties. The intention was to close existing gaps and work towards a tentative agreement that adequately reflects the needs and expectations of our members.
Vice President Honeycutt has assigned Joey Barker as the D3 Mobilization Coordinator. He has scheduled a call for Staff, Local Presidents, and Local Mobilization Coordinators for May 27th at 7:00 p.m. We will continue to provide a detailed overview of our current bargaining sessions, and we are requesting that all Locals and Members continue their Mobilization activities to help us reach a favorable agreement. Your CWA bargaining committee will return to the negotiating table on June 11, 2025. Please ensure you and your coworkers are signed up to receive bargaining updates.
