Bargaining Update 6/30-7/2

Your Union Bargaining Team met with Piedmont Airlines from Monday, June 30th through Wednesday, July 2nd to continue contract negotiations.

Union Proposals

During this session, the Union passed the following proposals:

  • Article 11 – Holidays
  • Article 12 – Vacation
  • Article 13 – Compensation
  • Article 14 – Leaves of Absence
  • Article 17 – Benefits

Each article has been a fight at the table. We’ve pushed hard for real improvements—especially in vacation structure, stronger leave protections, and benefits that support part-time and full-time workers alike. These are not just proposals—they are demands rooted in fairness, equity, and respect.
 

Company Response

The Company returned our Article 13—Compensation proposal with zero changes—a clear sign that they are unwilling to move on meaningful wage increases. This refusal to negotiate in good faith on pay speaks volumes about how little they value your work, your time, and your sacrifices.
 

Where We Stand

After multiple days at the table, it’s clear that the Company and the Union remain miles apart. The Company continues to ignore the basic economic needs of our members and refuses to commit to improvements that would bring our contract in line with industry standards.
 

What’s Next: Mediation

Given the Company’s refusal to bargain seriously—especially on wages—the Union is now preparing to request mediation through the National Mediation Board. This is a formal step under the Railway Labor Act and signals that we are no longer willing to tolerate delay and disrespect.

  • Mobilize your station. Visibility and unity are power. Wear your union gear. Speak up.
  • Be ready. We are preparing for action, and we need every member to stand united and strike ready.

We will not be disrespected. We will not be dismissed. And we will not back down.
