Piedmont Airline Workers Picket for Livable Wages & Safety

We are the workers at Piedmont Airlines who support safe, efficient departures by assisting with pre-flight check in, loading and unloading baggage, guiding planes on the tarmac, deicing planes, removing lavatory waste, and ensuring aircraft are inspected and safe before departure.

Despite working for one of the most profitable airlines in the country, routinely dealing with unruly passengers and enduring hazardous conditions, many of us rely on government assistance and lack health care coverage.

Over a year into negotiations, the company has yet to respond to critical proposals that will ensure job security and workplace safety for passenger service and ramp workers.

On October 28, 2024, Piedmont Airlines passenger service and ramp workers at ten airports across the country will walk the picket line to demand better pay and safety conditions on the job.

Show your support for Piedmont Airlines passenger service and ramp workers by joining a picket at one of the following locations (all times local): 

  • Boise Airport (BOI), Lower curb by smoking shelter: 9 AM - 12 PM
  • Meadows Field Airport (BFL), At entrance turnabout: 12 PM and 4:30 PM
  • Charlotte International Airport (CLT), In front of CLT: 10 AM - 2 PM
  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), Evans Terminal curbside/departure level: 11 AM - 2 PM
  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Terrace Area: 9 AM - 12 PM
  • Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Terminal F: 9:30 AM - 12 PM
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), Terminal 4 level 2 NW curb west of door 21: 9 AM - 12 PM
  • Richmond International Airport (RIC), North Bag Area: 9 AM - 1 PM
  • San Luis Obispo County Airport (SBP), Location TBA:  9 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Tucson International Airport (TUS), Location TBA: 9:30 AM -12 PM

The picketing event at Fresno Yosemite International Airport will take place on November 18 at, 10 AM - 4 PM near baggage area.
