Solidarity in a Time of Need
Today we are requesting that Locals across the country consider providing assistance to our Brothers and Sisters affected by the recent hurricanes. So many in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands were disastrously impacted by Hurricane Irma and then sustained a devastating direct hit from Hurricane Maria. And of course, we had many fellow passenger service professionals on the mainland of the United States who were deeply affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
We all need to stand up together and help our Brothers and Sisters in their time of need not only through moral support, but also through tangible support. Below, we are including a list of items that are needed most urgently and a letter from CWA District 3 Staff Representative Jorge Rodriguez, who is from Puerto Rico and whose family still resides there.
Monetary donations can be made by checks addressed to CWA District 3 Disaster Relief Fund "DRF" and marked as Hurricane Relief. By clicking the link below, monetary donations can be made through a website. These donations will be transferred into the District 3 DRF. Any items you would like to purchase can be sent to the CWA District 3 South Florida office.
