Bargaining Update 4/25

The CWA Bargaining Team and Chief of Staff Sylvia J. Ramos met with the Company on April 16 and 21, 2025. The Union and Company bargaining teams presented proposals and/or counterproposals during these meetings on the following articles:

  • Article 11 – Holidays
  • Article 12 – Vacation
  • Article 13 – Compensation
  • Article 14 – Leaves of Absence
  • Article 17 – Benefits

Unfortunately, the Company's current proposals remain insufficient and do not adequately address the needs of our members. The minimal wage increases being offered are disappointing and disrespectful, failing to recognize the hard work and dedication that our members consistently demonstrate. We need fair wages, improved working conditions, and enhanced benefits!

Piedmont Airlines customer service and ramp agents, represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA), voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike.

As previously communicated, the process to strike under the National Railway Labor Act is lengthy. However, the strike vote results send a powerful message to the company: Piedmont customer service and ramp agents are serious about negotiating a contract that guarantees fair wages, improved working conditions and enhanced benefits.

Please review the educational flyers and video on the Piedmont Agents website to learn more about the Railway Labor Act and the strike process.

Your CWA bargaining committee will return to the negotiating table on May 16, 2025. Please ensure you and your coworkers are signed up to receive updates and contact your Local for information about future mobilization activities.
