Notice to Piedmont Workers - Wage Settlement

In a historic first, CWA Passenger Services members have secured a settlement agreement after years of wrongful pay practices by the Piedmont Airlines.

While the 2018 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was in effect, Piedmont Airlines “flexed” wages in 45 stations in order to attract and retain employees at competitive rates.

During negotiations for a successor CBA, the Union bargaining team became aware of errors impacting seniority and/or the correct pay rate related to the implementation of the wage flexes.

The Union exhausted every measure to resolve these errors. We demanded that the Company perform several internal audits and engaged in protracted negotiations until we were assured that all affected members would be made whole.

On January 19, 2026, the Union reached a Letter of Agreement with the Company to resolve these errors.

What You Should Do:

Confirm Your Eligibility -  Impacted members will receive a notification via your aa.com email on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

If you separated from the company before January 19, 2026, you are not eligible for retroactive payments under the 2026 Letter of Agreement. However, if you would like us to review your claim, please submit in writing the details of your concern. Email Sylvia J. Ramos, CWA Chief of Staff, at [email protected]. Make sure your email includes your current address, your dates of employment and telephone number.

Check Your Pay Stubs - Any applicable retroactive pay adjustments will be processed on June 17, 2026, and paid on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Check Your Seniority – Have you recently received an adjustment in your current wage step placement?

Check Your Current Wage Rate - Have you recently received an adjustment in your current wage rate?

Eligible CWA members who believe they have received an incorrect retroactive payment, dispute the adjustment in seniority and/or the correct rate of pay, or challenge their eligibility may submit an appeal in writing to [email protected]

You have forty-five (45) days from the date of payment (June 19, 2026) to submit an appeal. Any appeals submitted after Monday, August 3, 2026 will not be processed. The CWA appeals committee will consist of two Union representatives and two management representatives who will thoroughly review each claim appeals.

Thank you to everyone involved in this lengthy and difficult process.  I am pleased that we were able to secure an agreement that was fair and just to all of our impacted members by negotiating language that included payment of the wages our members were owed with no penalties to any members that was overpaid as a result of these errors.

In Lasting Unity,

Sylvia J. Ramos
