Bargaining Update 12/16

Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Piedmont Bargaining committee last week.

The Company presented an economic proposal. The Union presented proposals on Vacation and Holidays, as well as a counter to the Company’s economic proposal. We were able to make progress, however we are not near an agreement. The Union met with the Ground Safety Director at Piedmont to see if we could come to any agreements on the safety policies and procedures. The meeting was informative, however no agreements were reached. The Union is working hard to make sure we negotiate a contract with a fair wage increase for everyone and a safe workplace.

Your mobilization efforts picketing at stations and the efforts on the petitions and Christmas card is pushing the company to make progress in bargaining. Please reach out to your Local for information on picketing and mobilization actions. Be part of the movement to reach a fair contract! We need all members to increase their efforts. Mobilization is the way to get a fair contract.

Please take time to put your name on the Christmas card to Piedmont Airlines CEO Eric Morgan to show you stand united for a fair contract.

The next bargaining dates are January 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th.

Have a Happy Holiday.

When we fight, we win.
