Bargaining Update 2/12

The CWA Bargaining Team met from February 3-7, 2025. Based on the company’s unacceptable delay to our requests for information (RFI) as well as their unacceptable lack of responses to our questions along with the time we have spent negotiating this contract, CWA Chief of Staff Sylvia J. Ramos joined our meetings. Jerry Glass, President of F&H Solutions also attended the bargaining sessions for the company. At the conclusion of introductions, both parties shared their concerns regarding not reaching a tentative agreement. This is the first time they have attended our bargaining sessions and we are hopeful that their attendance will help us reach a contract that is FAIR and JUST, in a timely manner.
The Company presented a proposal on Article 13 – Compensation. Although there was some movement on the Company’s part, at this juncture in negotiations, the proposal is severely deficient in meeting our members’ proposals.
The Union and Company bargaining teams presented proposals and counterproposals on the following articles:
Article 11 – Holidays
Article 12- Vacation
Article 14 – Leaves of Absences
Article 18 – Safety and Health
Article 24 – General and Miscellaneous
The Union submitted a proposal to establish a Labor Advisory Forum, which will create a framework for ongoing communication to address our members' needs between the both parties.
Stay tuned for our upcoming mobilization event, where we will unite to demonstrate to the Company that we deserve better working conditions and support for our Bargaining Team.
Together, we will make our voices heard and show our solidarity in the fight for fairness and respect!
